Summer Time = Grilling Time!

I was never really a big fan of ribs but my honey asked if I would make him some. I am always up for cooking something different and I love quick, easy and tasty results. That’s how I found McCormick’s Mesquite Marinade. I happened to notice they had a recipe for homemade BBQ sauce on the back and I decided that that I would give it a try. They were a hit and I actually crave them now… weird I know.

So, to start pick out a rack that has a lot of meat on it. You can gage this by how thick the package is. I always watch the ad’s and pick up a couple when they are on sale and throw them in the freezer. I cover the ribs with foil and bake at 300 degrees for about 2 hours.

While they are cooking I whip up some sides and the BBQ;

BBQ Recipe:

1/2 cup of Ketchup
1/3 cup of Honey (I use my dad’s – beekeeping is one of his many hobbies, but any will do)
1 packet of McCormick’s Mesquite Marinade

Directions: Mix together

and brush on the ribs and cook on the grill for 10 – 15 minutes.

Camping Potatoes

Potatoes
Butter
Salt
Pepper

Directions: Cut potatoes

and place on piece of foil. One potatoe per foil sheet. Add butter, salt and pepper to taste!

Make a packet with the foil
and cook on the grill until done
Tasty!
