Yeast Rolls

I used to make these cloverleaf rolls with my mom for 4-H! When I was younger I loved working with yeast and I still do!
Start by putting your yeast and water in a small bowl. Yeast is hungry, so feed it a little sugar to help it get started about a teaspoon.
Should look like this when you are ready to use it. Just a heads up I doubled the recipe.
Melt your butter in your warm milk.
Add your sugar.
Pour both mixtures in your mixer bowl.
Add your eggs.
Add your flour and salt.
Mix and then separate dough into equal pieces and knead.
Place some oil in the bottom of a bowl.
Toss your dough in and cover with oil on all sides this helps keeping the dough from sticking to the bowl!
Cover and let rise. Punch down the dough.
Grease your pan.
Pinch off golf ball size pieces.
Shape into a ball.
Let rise again.
Bake, coat with butter, cool and enjoy!

Quick question: You have butter listed twice on your list: 1/3 cup butter and then 1/4 cup butter. Did you brush the tops with the 2nd butter? Thanks.

    • Yes, thanks for catching that! When the rolls are still warm brush with butter. You can also sprinkle a little sugar on the rolls right after you brush them with butter if you like a sweeter roll.

They look soooo good. Tks for sharing. Just a question ….how long do you knead the dough?
